Over the past few years, shiplap has made a huge presence in the kitchen and bath industry. It seems everyone wants at least a wall or two covered in wood boards. Ever since those fixer uppers out of Waco, Texas decided it was cool, homeowners everywhere have needed it. The trend has become so popular that we have decided to offer shiplap at Outside The Box. With our quality finish and do it yourself style ways, you are bound to have the best looking shiplap, wherever you live!
A Quality Finish
When the trend first took off, it was all about using reclaimed barnwood. While that look is very cool, you have to make sure you are down with the farmhouse look. More recently, painted shiplap has become very popular. A bright white is the most popular color choice and it is easy to see why. Just like everything else here at Outside the Box, the finish on our shiplap can’t be beat! We use a high quality primer and lacquer infused paint that will last for many years to come. We use a thin, plywood material and suggest you space boards evenly by using a custom tool provided with every shiplap order. Some people will choose just one wall to cover and many will cover entire rooms with it. The choice is yours.
Let’s Get Ready to Shiplap!
When it comes to shiplap, a do it yourself project doesn’t get much easier. Skip some major steps by having your boards cut to size and finished with the highest quality product by Outside the Box is a great idea. We offer three different widths of boards (4”, 6” and 8”), all of which are eight feet long. The most standard size is typically eight inch wide boards, but we wanted to have other options available. You could always mix and match board widths to get an even more unique look. Be sure to check out our shiplap page, collection of blogs and Facebook page for more information.
